Bruce Brown to the NBA

Bruce Brown ’11 (Dorchester, MA) led the Academy to back-to-back boys basketball championships in 2010 and 2011, when the team capped off an undefeated season.  After graduating from the Academy in 2011, Brown went on to experience a highly decorated high school career while attending Vermont Academy in Sexton River, Vermont.  As a senior, Brown was the #26 ranked prospect in the 2016 ESPN 100, and a Jordan Brand All-American.  Brown earned dozens of division 1 scholarships before eventually committing to the University of Miami.  While at the University of Miami, Brown earned 2017 All-ACC Academic accolades.  After the completion of his sophomore year, Brown entered the 2018 NBA draft, and was selected 42nd overall by the Detroit Pistons.  Brown was selected as a member of the Academy’s inaugural Hall of Fame Class of 2019.
